Liz started acting in the 1970s, taking lead roles in operas in St.Joseph's secondary school in Gort. She later joined the Patrician Musical Society and was a founder member of both Compántas Lir and the Claregalway Festival of Drama. However it is as an actress that she is most accomplished, sweeping the boards (literally) with her performances this year as maid Beth Barton, as Molly in Poor Beast in the Rain and as the scheming Mrs Cheverley in An Ideal Husband. Liz has starred in many of the groups plays since 1983.
