Ruth obtained a Masters in Theatre Studies and was anxious to put theory into practice at the first opportunity. She joined the group in 2005 and was immediately given a role in the hilarious Autumn Theatre production of “Husbands Supplied”. Last year her portrayal as Mona won her a number of acting awards in “A Crucial Week in the Life of a Grocer’s Assistant,” due, no doubt, to the long hours she spent rehearsing her courting scene in the hayshed until she was satisfied she had got it right! This year she is at it again in the role of Sister Innocentia! Ruth is a great example of the talented and committed younger members whose presence has enriched the group in recent years.
