Simon, who hails from the Dingle Peninsula, has been central to the development of Compántas Lir since its inception. He is best remembered for his larger-than-life role as Windy in “Anyone Could Rob a Bank”, Eddie in “The Country Boy”, Paddy in “The Wood of the Whispering”, the bishop in “Moll”, The Earl of Caversham in “An Ideal Husband”, the priest in “By the Bog of Cats” and the auctioneer in “Professor Tim”. His most recent roles include Flash Harry in “Dry Rot” and the pension officer in “A Crucial Week in the Life of a Grocer’s Assistant”. Such is Simon’s versatility that this year he has been elevated to the position of Papal Legate!
