The Home of Compántas Lir

With three performances under the belt, the eagerly awaited first results came in over the airwaves on Friday night. Unfortunately we did not achieve the top place in the overall Play award which went as follows : 

1st Holycross / Ballycahill Love in the Title by Hugh Leonard
2nd Corofin Dramatic Society The Beauty Queen of Leenan by Martin McDonagh
3rd Compántas Lir The Year of the Hiker by John B. Keane

Congratulations to Philip Cribbin who received the Best  Actor award for his portrayal of The Hiker. Also nominated for the Best Actress was Liz Hession who plays Kate Lacey in the play. 

Results from the other two shows are Roscommon Saturday 15th March and Doonbeg Tuesday 18th.  This week, Compántas Lir take to Claremorris on Wednesday night and Cavan on Thursday night.
