Carmerl, Mary McCarthy, Vincent Moran and Ann MoranThe annual three night run in the Town Hall proved to be another resounding success with large crowds turning up on each night to see Compántas Lir perform the show that has seen them qualify for the All-Ireland finals. Producer Philip Cribbin was quick to show his appreciation for the large crowds who supported the show.

As with all our shows all of the actors stood out for praise and the set was highly complemented. The cast and crew will now take a well deserved few days off before meeting on Monday night for a rehearsal and group meeting. The draw that decides our performance night in the All-Ireland will take place earlier than expected on this Sunday night in Wexford. After a date is known, there are talks of one more show in Galway as a warm up for the All-Irelands. Date, time and venue to be announced later. Other news is that our sound man, John Keane has fled to Australia for a month and will miss the All-Irelands. He was delighted that the group has reached the finals but is very dissapointed not to be around. Before leaving he was anxious that his understudy, Joe O'Connell would represent the soundest men in the finals. Joe has now decided to head to America for a break himself. Rumours are that he has been asked to call onNew York and Broadway for tips and tricks, though this hasn't been confirmed....!
