Over 250 people turned out to support the opening night of the Claregalway Drama Festival. With the centre transformed into a wonderful Drama setting, Compántas Lir took to the stage and entertained the crowd with their hilarious play, Cambusdonald Royal.
The roars of laughter echoed the sentiments of the crowd who thoroughly enjoyed the play. One of the llead actors, Paddy Greaney was lucky to perform having lost his voice two days previously. Whatever he used to treat his throat worked as he played his character excellently.
The set was taken down in record time and ready to be transported to Cavan the following morning for the second show of the weekend. The long weekend finishes with another show in Shercock Co.Cavan, on Monday night.
