The Home of Compántas Lir

The  first round of results came in over the weekend. Compántas Lir finished in 2nd place in the overall results (confined)  in the Kerry Drama Festival held in Castle Island. In addition there were two acting awards for Vincent Moran and Paddy Greaney. The Overall winners were Schull Drama Group who performed 'Moonshine'. In third were Newmarket DG with 'Moll'.

In the Western Drama Festival, Tubbercurry Co.Sligo the local group the Phoenix Players won with 'At The Black Pigs Dyke' . In second was D.A.D.S., Dunmore,  'A Thief Of Christmas'  and thrid place went to Clooonacool Players with    'Moll'.
Incidently K.A.T.S., Galway won the open section there with 'All My Sons'.

Results of the other two shows, West Clare (Doonbeg) will be Tuesday and Claremorris on Sunday. The group will perform next on the opening night in Claregalway Drama Festival on Friday 16th March.
