Compantas Lir have achieved their long sought after goal by winning the confined all Ireland one act final.
Their production “nine” was directed by Caoimhe O’Dowd, and started Ruth o’driscoll and Mary Killacky.
The play won the top award and Ruth won the adjudicators award also.
Well done to the cast and crew and to all in the group. Who knows it might even make one more appearance for all who missed it.
Congrats to Caoimhe and the cast and crew of Nine who have qualified for the All Ireland Finals at the top of the league table.
The draw will take place next Saturday.
The All Ireland’s take place in Ballyshannon on December 5th, 6th and 7th.
After performing another great show in Tubbercurry, fingers were crossed that the hard work would pay off and thankfully it did as the performance picked up first place. There were deserved nominations for Mary and Ruth.

Nine has won best play in Galway. The Best actress award was picked up by Ruth, with a nomination for Mary K. Best director Caoimhe. Congrats to all !
This years one act show Nine had its opening night in Kiltimagh drama festival last Thursday. The results from the festival were terrific with the production picking up three awards including the coveted Best show. In addition Ruth received best actress, Mary was also nominated for that and Caoimhe won best director. Congrats! A great start.
Dress rehearsal this Monday evening Oct 27th at 8 o clock.
First festival in Kiltimagh on Friday 31st followed by Dunmore festival in the Taibhdhearc on Thursday Nov 6th. There are four plays on that particular night so 7 o clock start. The girls have put a huge amount of work into this production already so your support would be much appreciated. Thank You all !

The ever popular Autumn theatre took place recently to four sold out nights in Carnmore.
The centre was transformed from a sports hall into a theatre for the week, and all who attended were treated to two great comedies.
